Licenses & Attributions

The register below covers all vendor code, instrument samples, drum kits, fonts and graphics used across the six apps — Reggae, Hip-Hop, Pop, Metalcore, Techno and House/DnB — with their licence and, where required, the mandatory attribution. Nothing here is under a non-commercial (NC) licence. Every credit that is legally required is collected in the final section.

Google Fonts (Geist Mono, Space Grotesk, Caveat, Patrick Hand) — SIL Open Font License (OFL). Loaded from Google's CDN. The OFL requires no in-product credit.

All app skin artwork (skins/*.webp: photographic backgrounds and UI graphics) is the operator's own work — no third-party licence applies.

6. Generative data

Melognite’s composition logic ships as scale degrees, weights, ranges and rhythmic strike patterns — open the style packs and look for a melody: there is none. It contains no third-party audio, no recordings and no song fragments — nothing that could carry a third-party licence into your MIDI export.

7. Transition FX — Melognite’s own production

The transition effects on the FX track of Metalcore, Reggae and Pop (risers, impacts, sub drops, sweeps, reverses, drones, stingers, echo throws, sirens, reverse cymbals, vocal chops and the other families) are produced by Casa Santa Solutions UG. They are synthesised from first principles by our own offline generator; no sample library was purchased, sampled or adapted, and no third-party recording is contained in them. This is deliberate: nearly every commercial sample licence permits use within a production and forbids passing the sound on in isolated form. Producing our own leaves us free of that constraint — and free to grant you the rights below without conditions attached by someone else. The vocal chops of the Pop library contain no voice recording: they are produced by formant synthesis — a synthetic glottal pulse train shaped by three formant filters. No singer, no sample, no third-party recording.

Usage grant for the FX — Pro at the time of generation

Casa Santa Solutions UG grants an unlimited, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable right of commercial use to the transition FX contained in an exported song — including publication, distribution and monetisation of the resulting music — exclusively to the user who held an active Pro plan at the moment that song was generated.

• The grant attaches to the song generated during an active Pro plan. It is not affected by the plan later ending: what was generated under Pro stays usable under Pro terms.
• The grant does not extend to songs generated on the Free, Basic or Standard plan. On those plans the FX are audible in the app and are part of the generated result — but there is no download of the FX files and no right of use in them.
• The grant covers use of the FX as part of a musical production. It does not permit redistributing the FX as a sound library, sample pack or otherwise as standalone sound files, nor sublicensing them for that purpose.
• How the FX reach you (Pro): the export dialog lists the transition-FX moments of the current song file by file, and each selected one is downloaded as its original sound file — not as a recording of the mix. That is deliberate: a recording of the mix would contain the sampled instruments of sections 2 and 3 and would carry their licences (the AVL drum kit is GPL). The original file carries nothing but our own work.

8. What your export contains

Corrected on 12 August 2026. Until then this page stated „Melognite exports no audio“. That was true when it was written and became untrue when the Pro export gained the transition-FX files. The sentence is replaced by the table above.

What a download never contains: no mixdown of the song, no recording of any track, no instrument or drum sample. The reason is not caution but licensing — a recording of the output would contain the sampled instruments of sections 2 and 3, and those licences (the AVL drum kit is GPL) are granted to us for operating the service, not to you for redistribution. The boundary therefore does not run between „MIDI and audio“, but between third-party material and our own.

And what none of this says: that the music itself is free of third-party rights. Melognite composes from rules and a seed; a generated sequence can coincide with an existing work. We give no warranty of originality — see Terms, sections 4 and 5. If you hold rights and believe a specific seed reproduces your work, report that seed: we block it immediately, before any assessment.
